BOARD MEETING – Monday, December 1 at 6:30 p.m.

SPECIAL YOUTH NEWS – Have you been receiving emails from Mr. Kaschube? If not, please give him  your email address so he can contact you with special news updates. Also check the bulletin boards every Sunday morning and grab a weekly news update slip. Take it home and add it to your youth page on your refrigerator.

WINTER CANCELLATIONS – With winter approaching please be sure to listen to WGHN 92.1 to hear if any youth activities have been cancelled. We will notify the Radio Station at least one hour prior to the event if it is cancelled

CRAFT SHOW – Please sign up for a shift to sell Christmas Wreaths at the Heavenly Creations craft show at St. John’s on December 6th. Grab a group of friends and help us raise funds for events throughout the year. Hours of the craft show are 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

LOVE INC SERVANT EVENT – Attention Junior and Senior youth we will be helping Love Inc on Wednesday December 10^th from 6:48-8:00 p.m. Watch your worship bulletins for more details.

YOUTH LED ADVENT SERVICE – Mark your calendars now for December 4^th. This year the Junior and Senior High youth will lead the congregation in Worship on December 4^th at 7:00 p.m. We will be having practice and dinner on the 4^th beginning at 5:00 p.m.

YOUR NEWSPAPERS ARE NEEDED – The 52 foot trailer at Bill Tysman’s is two thirds full. Let’s try and fill it by the end of the year! We are still collecting all phone books and newspapers. There is a receptacle in the church entry way for you to drop them off. For big loads, feel free to take them directly to Bill Tysman Trucking, 17114 Robbins Road, Grand Haven …behind Little Caesar’s Pizza. Our trailer number is 6140 – it is on the right side – just look for the St. John’s Lutheran School sticker on the back tailgate.

FAMILY SKI TRIPS – Mark your calendars for two ski trips to Caberfae Ski Resort on January 25th, and February 22nd. The cost is as follows: $16 lift ticket, $2 ski rental, $8 board rental and $6 for transportation. Mr. Kaschube will drive and chaperone any Senior High youth, but Junior High youth will need a parent to go along and the parent wouldn’t have to ski. We need a few adults for each trip to help with transportation, so please contact Mr. Kaschube at (616) 842-4510 or ckaschube@sjlcs.org. All participants must sign up and pay one week prior to each ski date.

SUPER BOWL SUB SANDWICH FUNDRAISER – Once again the Youth will be selling 8 inch subs for $2.50 each or 10 for $20.00.  Please fill out this order form and return it to the box in the Social Hall by Sunday January 25^th. The Board of Youth has set up an individual account for each of you so that your profits that you sell go directly into your account to supplement the costs for activities and gatherings you attend. This will help take the burden off of the parents for the cost of the events.
